woooo, last minute vision overhauls! I have my first ever solo dance performance on wednesday, for a friend’s birthday hafla. I spent today completely scrapping the prep I’ve done over the past few weeks, and formulating something much less bellydancey and heavy and much more butoh/modern dancey and playful. and I feel good about it. here’s the new song [by boston-based band, jaggery]. ♥
how pathological is it that I am almost entirely sure that this is what I’m dancing to for my first-ever bellydance performance in a few weeks?

pdx local!! tempest [of providence, soon to be of seattle] hooked me up with her when I first came to the area.. she only teaches private lessons, which I can’t make use of yet at my skill level, but I’m in awe of her and hope to work with her someday. <3
